Stuff I made

I made our coffee table and tv unit. Thank God Linzi doesn't demand fine craftsmanship. Taking orders now for the Winter 2006 collection.

As I said to Laurie this evening, in a completely unrelated discussion: "I'm gonna sell these muthafuckas for $59.95".

Name that movie.

Big Pissy blathered this crap:

Good job!

I especially like the tv cabinet~looks great!

Oh...and I LOVE those curtins!

freshairlover blathered this crap:

I really like those. Could you ship one to NJ?

Steph blathered this crap:

Those are awesome! You're very talented. For REAL!

Summer blathered this crap:

You made those! Holy crap! I wish I could do that.

hotdrwife blathered this crap:

You should see how fucked up my creations from Shop class were. JACKED. UP. I was never meant to be around power tools.

Kav blathered this crap:

big pissy: Thanks alot. Personally I have to work on liking the curtains. They're my girls' choice and they're a bit flowery for me, but what do I know? I just do the man-stuff like build things and paint, and she picks fabric and all that.

Debbie: But of course! Although they're made from 2-inch-thick solid pine, so they weigh an absolute might be better getting Norm from the New Yankee Workshop to whip something up for you.

Steph: Thanks very much - I appreciate the compliment, but for real talent, I wish I could show you some of my Grandad's work. He was a serious craftsman.

summer: You probably can. It all depends on the, ahem, tools that you're equipped with. I just happen to have all the right equipment... ;-)

HDW: Pics? I've got a few disastrous ones of my own...everyone's gotta start somewhere! Maybe you just needed to give it some more time?

Michael blathered this crap:

Two important revelations from this post:

1 - You play chess. Such a great game :)
2 - You have no taste in curtains. They're truly horrid.

Kav blathered this crap:

michael: Jesus, do you think I picked them?! Believe me, not my first choice. L says the room is still a work in progress.

But what do I know, I just live there. :-)

fyrchk blathered this crap:

I am in awe. I put together some of those "pre-made" things where all you have to do is put the screws in. I got tired. Then I had to call my dad and ask him how to get the bit to stay in the drill.

He was so proud.

Kav blathered this crap:

fyrchk: That's what dads are for, right? I am looking forward to the day my kids have to call on my expertise... ;-)
